A Special Appeal from CERV in The Philippines

Raymund from
CERV Philippines
The Centre for Volunteerism (CERV) is Eat So They Can's partner organisation in the Philippines. CERV have been working for many years with vulnerable Filipino youth, but are currently facing severe financial difficulties.

Based in Quezon City, CERV works primarily in two areas; Metro Manila, and  Romblon, one of the Philippines' poorest provinces. The organisation was founded and is run by Raymund Villanueva, his wife Pom, and his sister-in-law Eden. Over the years they have completed several successful community development projects, using a combination of free labour from volunteers, and funding from overseas.

CERV's most recent project is the building of a community library for children from San Agustin. A community of 50,000, San Agustin currently does not have a library, which significantly restricts the literacy level of children in the area. CERV hope that the library project will change this, and begin to address a crucial issue in the area.

CERV estimates that they will be able to complete the project once $10,000 is raised, which is where you may be able to help.
By donating to the CERV library development project, you will be helping to build a learning facility for Filipino children who are in desperate need of one. You can find out more about CERV and the project by clicking here. You can donate directly, or host an Eat So They Can event for CERV so that your friends and family can contribute as well.
