Eat So They Can In the Bush?!

It's almost here! The official Eat So They Can weekend is just around the corner and we have been doing our best to make sure you feel as excited as we do about your events! As you may have seen in our Eat So They Street Team video, Eat So They Can is our life! However, our (almost 1,200!) hosts have jobs, families, school, bookclubs, gym workouts, wine tastings, you get the idea...LIVES to live and so we are so grateful that you have taken time out of your busy schedules to join the movement and 'Eat So They Can.' In fact, some of our hosts have even extended an invitation to Eliza and I to join their event! Trust us, if we could, we would be all over the world joining events in Singapore, Antarctica, South Korea, Melbourne, Paris, Michigan (hi mom!) and many more. Since we can't do that, I thought it'd be great to share some stories from around the world and if YOU are in the area, don't miss out!

Rattlesnake Arches Canyon
Rob Jacobs is a host from the lovely state of Colorado, USA and he has put a twist on his event; in order to 'eat so they can,' guests will first put in some work. Before enjoying a delicious potluck meal that Rob believes, "offers you a golden opportunity to try out that new recipe on a bunch of unsuspecting guinea pigs," everyone is invited on a four-hour hike through Rattlesnake Arches Canyon.

Rob's invitation states the purpose of Eat So They Can perfectly: "We are all blessed with good health, great jobs, and opportunities to which so few around the world have access. Please join us on October 30, have lots of fun, and share your good fortune."

ESTC Host Elena Paschinger
Elena Paschinger, a host from Austria has decided to incorporate her Eat So They Can event with her housewarming party and birthday to really celebrate! "There'll be paella from Spain, quiches from France, scones from New Zealand, and of course lots and lots of good wine from our own country here in Austria! (plus the odd box of chocolate to calm down the neighbours nextdoor.)" This is Elena's 2nd year hosting and event and we love how not only does she hope to raise funds to support women's empowerment, the cause she's  selected, she wants to educate herself and her guests.  As Elena states, "despite giving us a real treat, we certainly hope to raise awareness among our friends and family to become inspired and informed about your goals, and perhaps organise their own dinner parties next year, too. We will continue to support you again. Keep up the good work and look forward to seeing you all one day."

Thank you so much Elena and Rob for sharing your events with us and we hope you have a great time! Your efforts will truly make a difference in the lives of the people we support!
